Integrated Financial Management And Information System (IFMIS) |

Goal: To improve public expenditure management through an integrated and automated financial management system in order to ensure efficient and effective use of public resources. In order to fully implement a system of financial management and commitment control, government officers need sophisticated tools to enable them to keep track of their budget allocations and spending. This is the role that IFMIS will play once implemented. IFMIIS if fully implemented will leave the FMS a legend of the past as the whole will be networked. This will allow for accurate, timely, processing and production of financial information. Key Milestone for IFMIS: IFMIS implementation strategy has been produced and approved, The IFMIS solution provider (Soluziona) is on board and has produced the IFMIS blue print which will form the basis for IFMIS implementation In order to prepare for IFMIS, Government has been undertaking a number of capacity building activities in IT for officers involved in IFMIS implementation.
