This section is headed by
Mr. Kaluba Shiliya
The Operations section processes all operational Management Information
Systems and
supports the system development teams in the development of information
systems
applications for the Civil Service prior to commissioning the
information systems into production.
Further, the section holds the responsibility of ensuring that disaster
recovery plans are
executed within this branch. The data capture and control services are
also part of this branch.
The section is divided into three branches which are ;
Data Control,
Data Entry and
Computer Operations
And undertake the following tasks: -
(a) Processing the Pmec Payroll and assisting the Pmec payroll end-users
in capturing
Payroll inputs
(b) Receives all data input forms for the legacy payroll from users, and
records them.
The input forms for the payroll transactions are
received every month while the input forms
for government accounts are received as and when
accounting units are ready. There are also
periodical ad-hoc jobs whose inputs are received
when necessary. National registration cards
books are also received annually.
(c) Ensures and checks that the received data input forms are
correct and are properly recorded.
(d) Captures data received from input forms for Payroll,
Government Accounts, National Registration
Cards and any other ad-hoc jobs into electronic
media using computers.
(e) Verifies the correctness of the captured data for the Payrolls,
Government Accounts,
National Registration Cards and other ad-hoc jobs (f)
Processes the captured data into useful
information by running the application systems
regarding Payrolls, Government Accounts,
National Registration Cards and other ad-hoc jobs.
(g) Produces various reports which includes Payroll, Government Accounts
and other
various ad-hoc jobs as requested by users and prints
them out on hard copy
(h) Distributes the produced reports to the various users for the
Payroll, Government Accounts,
National Registration Cards and other Ad-hoc
Systems.
