CALL FOR 2026 BUDGET SUBMISSIONS

The National Budget is an important economic policy tool which the Government uses to raise and spend revenues to achieve its objectives for a particular year.

The Ministry of Finance and National Planning hereby invites stakeholders, including the general public and business community, to submit tax, non-tax (user fees and fines) and expenditure proposals for the 2026 National Budget. The submissions will be considered for inclusion in the 2026 National Budget, Medium-Term Revenue Strategy, and 2026-2028 Medium Term Budget Framework. The 2026 National Budget will be presented at least ninety (90) days, before commencement of the next financial year.

Interested individuals and institutions are requested to submit the proposals strictly in a table format as outlined below:

 

NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS OF THE PROPOSER PROPOSAL CURRENT STATUS JUSTIFICATION
Phone, Email, and Postal Address. Sector/policy area of interest (e.g. taxation policy, wage policy, infrastructure programme, etc.). Disadvantages, shortcomings, weaknesses or challenges of the current policy, or programme, project, or situation. Expected implications or impact of the proposed policies or measures and how this aligns to the country’s development agenda.
