Audit Operations

The Department Coordinates internal audit operations in Ministries, Provinces and Agencies (MPAs) in order to enhance their performance. The functions include coordinating and conducting special audit assignments in public bodies for informed decision making, monitoring the implementation of external audit recommendations for informed decision making as well as to monitor and evaluate operations of Audit Committees in MPSA’s in order to enhance oversight in the management of public resources.

The key result areas include:

1. Review Audit committee operations.
2. Develop and implement capacity building programmes – Professional conferences (ZICA AGM, GRC, ABC, IIA).
3. Consolidation of Audited Domestic Arears.
4. Follow up on implementation of PAC recommendations.
5. Hold oversight Committee meetings.
6. Production of Audit Reports for all assignments conducted produced.
7. Conducting special Assignments.
8. Preparation of annual administration and operational reports.
9. Monitoring Internal Audit performance in MPAs.
10. Hold Annual Conference to harmonize and consolidate workplans.
11. Produce summary reports on recommendations from oversight committee.
12. Production of Audit Reports for all assignments conducted produced.
13. Preparation of annual administration and operational reports.
