Policy and Quality Assuarance

The Department is The Department is responsible for the formulation and review of appropriate audit policies, guidelines and standards in order to ensure their implementation. It also ensures that quality assurance systems are functional and that the provision of audit services in the MPAs is in line with professional internal audit standards.

1. Policies, Standards and Guidelines: Formulate, review and disseminate internal audit policies and guidelines;
2. Quality Assurance and Improvement Programmes: Develop and implement internal audit quality assurance programmes and monitor the implementation of performance improvement measures on the internal audit function;
3. Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to the internal audit function and conduct research on topical issues in audit and related matters;
4. Reports: Coordinate the preparation of internal audit technical reports and position papers;
5. Capacity Building: Facilitate continuous professional development, coaching and mentorship programmes.
