Treasury Services Management

The department is responsible for formulation of policies, procedures and systems to ensure effective and efficient management of cash in the Republic. The Directorate is also responsible for management of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness in management of cash resources for the Republic. Further, the Directorate oversees management of Government bank accounts in order to ensure transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.

1. Service Level Agreement: Provision of the Service level Agreements for the Commercial Banks and Non-Bank Financial to ensure compliance by all Financial Institutions.
2. Monitoring and Evaluation: To effectively monitor operation of commercial banks and ensure that their operations conform to the contents of the Service Level Agreement every six months.
3. Government Bank Accounts: GRZ Bank accounts are opened/closed according to laid down procedures as and when need arises and Bank Charges are paid on time.
4. Government Banking Guidelines: To ensure Financial Guidelines are developed and issued to all MPAs.
5. Treasury Single Account: Ensure payments transactions for all MPAs are processed under the Treasury Single Account and are efficiently and effectively processed for implementation of Government programmes.
