Financial Management Coordination

The Department of Financial Reporting and Information systems is be responsible for the consolidation of financial reports for the Government of the republic of Zambia, design and implementation of financial management information systems in order to ensure accountability of public resources and facilitate decision making.

The Key result areas for the Financial Reporting and Information in 202 include:

1. Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements of Government in order to provide information on the utilisation of the public resources and to meet the legal requirements;
2. Formulating and implementation of financial management policies, legislation, regulations and guidelines for the efficient and effective management of public resources;
3. Designing, implementing and maintaining a compatible, effective, efficient and transparent financial management and information system to ensure prudent management of financial resources to facilitate decision making and cost control; and
4. Reviewing public expenditure to ensure prudent management of financial resources and facilitate decision making and cost control.
