Information Communication and Technology

The Department is responsible for spearheading the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) support for Business to Business (B2B) services in the Ministry through development, implementation, support and maintenance of appropriate Management Information System in order to leverage the provision of quality ICT services.

The Key result areas for Treasury Services and Cash Management in 2022 include:

1. Service Maintain and support all business-critical ICT systems, infrastructure and hardware in all MPAs in government;
2. Formulation of ICT policies and Standards for the effective Governance and investments of ICT for the Ministry of Finance;
3. Manage and implement Service Level agreements with SMART Zambia and ICT Consultants for the Ministry;
4. Protecting Government mission critical data by deploying secure backup and replication solutions;
5. Manage and configure networks and sub-networks; and
6. Developing of Information Systems, providing user support including capacity building on various ICT technologies and products.
